• Pittsburgh DJ Grand Concourse This is a great article about 15 unique venues to host your wedding in Pittsburgh. It lists some interesting and creative venues for wedding ceremonies and receptions. My Pittsburgh DJ company has worked at several of these venues. I can say that the Heinz History Center and the University Club are two of my favorites. Both are indeed unique venues that offer great service and will wow your guests.

I have several other unique Pittsburgh venues that I would like to add to this list. The Grand Concourse and the PPG Zoo and Aquarium are two other unique Pittsburgh venues. You can check out a DJ highlight video of a reception at the Aquarium.

Venues to the east of Pittsburgh that I find unique are Chestnut Ridge in Blairsville and DiSalvo’s Station in Latrobe. For a more rustic setting, check out the Foggy Mountain Lodge in Stahlstown.

One thing you need to consider when using one of these venues is what you are going to do for ceremony music and ceremony sound. Almost everyone has thought about their reception music, but I find that many couples haven’t thought about sound for their actual ceremony.

I can tell you from experience that you need to have microphones available for everyone speaking in your ceremony. Many Pittsburgh DJ companies can offer you wireless microphones as part of a ceremony sound package. It is definitely something to consider when planning your ceremony at a unique Pittsburgh venue.
